About the Role:
Furniture Mart in New Orleans, LA is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Retail Furniture Store Manager Trainee to join our growing team! This is an exciting opportunity to launch your management career in a hands-on, fast-paced retail environment where you'll learn the business from the ground up. Responsibilities:
- Learn all aspects of retail furniture store operations under the guidance of experienced store management
- Assist in driving sales performance and achieving store revenue goals
- Deliver exceptional customer service and help customers find the right furniture solutions
- Support inventory management, merchandising, and showroom floor presentation
- Help recruit, train, and motivate sales associates to meet performance targets
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily store operations
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of retail, sales, or customer service experience
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for hitting sales targets
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with retail POS systems

Compensation: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
