About the Role:
Furniture Mart is looking for a hardworking and dependable Retail Furniture Stockroom Associate to join our team in New Orleans, LA! In this hands-on role, you'll be the backbone of our showroom operations — keeping inventory organized, product moving, and customers happy. If you love staying active and take pride in a well-run warehouse, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming furniture shipments and deliveries
- Organize and maintain stockroom and showroom displays
- Pull, stage, and prepare furniture orders for customer pickup or floor display
- Assist with customers on sales floor as needed
- Conduct routine inventory counts and report discrepancies to management
- Safely operate hand trucks, dollies, and other material handling equipment
- Keep stockroom and showroom clean, safe, and compliant with company standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or retail environment preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (up to 50–100 lbs) regularly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic familiarity with inventory systems or willingness to learn
- Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic

Compensation: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
